Draw a stroke with the pen tool using beziers, then convert strokes to outlines. Then use the direct select tool to move points to make certain strokes heavier. It has a very stylized look. I don't use it though. I'm usually pretty fast with the pen tool in Illustrator, but for work like this, not as fast as actually drawing with the "pen".  &lt;br&gt;I'm currently working on a piece that is entirely drawn in Illlustrator. I have a wacom...&lt;br&gt;after a while I started inking in Illustrator.
